Ting Yuan is a Senior Research Scientist at the Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, principal Tech Lead for Autonomous Driving on China situations within the Autonomous Driving Department. He graduated from UConn, USA. His field of endeavor lies in detection, classification, and tracking of moving/static objects using information from the camera, Radar, and Lidar systems, as well as data fusion for the multi-sensor systems.
Ting is a senior member of IEEE and an editorial board member at the international society of information fusion (ISIF) from 2014. He served as a session chair/tutorial lecturer on autonomous driving at Fusion Conference 2015-2020. He is the best paper award (1st runner-up) winner at MFI 2016, and he is an invited lecturer for the 2015/2020 International Radar Conferences on Automotive Radar Systems.
